Paul N. Hilfinger is a Professor of Teaching Emeritus in the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on Programming Systems (PS) and Scientific Computing (SCI). He is affiliated with the EECS department and can be contacted via email at hilfingr@cs.berkeley.edu. His work includes contributions to software engineering and parallel programming techniques. Hilfinger's publications include the Titanium Language Reference Manual and Titanium: A high-performance Java dialect. He has received several teaching awards, including the Jim and Donna Gray Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching of Computer Science and the Diane S. McEntyre Award for Excellence in Teaching Computer Science.
