Dr Katie Seaborn is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology (CST) at the University of Cambridge. They are also an Associate Fellow at the Centre for Human-Inspired Artificial Intelligence (CHIA) and a Visiting University Associate Professor at the Institute of Science Tokyo. Dr. Seaborn is the Director of the Aspirational Computing Lab, established in April 2020. Their research focuses on human-computer interaction, critical computing, human-robot interaction, and social justice in design. They hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto and B.A. and M.Sc. degrees from the School of Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University.
