Nicholas Weaver is a Lecturer in Economics at The University of Manchester, Department of Economics. His research interests include applied development economics and political economy. Weaver teaches a range of courses, including ECON10002 An Introduction to Development Studies and ECON20321 Development Economics: Growth, Capital Accumulation and Structural Change. He has also contributed to various other courses and projects within the department. His publications include an introductory chapter in The Economics of the European Union and several discussion papers and articles in academic journals. His work contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 1, 2, 8, and 10.
